Reasons for the website

To quote a wise person (that’s what you say when you don’t know where the quote came from), “When it comes to blogging, never have so many had so little to say to so few”.  Since most of the site will be other people’s writing, I feel justified in creating it, but just in case more justification is needed,  I’ve listed several reasons.

Top ten reasons to take up cyber-space with another website:

10. Dead conservatives make more sense (and are more entertaining) than living ones.

9.   Rush Limbaugh doesn’t speak for traditionalists.

8.  The meaning of “conservative” is lost to the general public.

7.  The term “foreign policy” has not always been synonymous with “empire building”.

6.  G.K. Chesterton says more in one paragraph than the entire editorial staff of The Weekly Standard

5.  Economics has become an abstract science rather than a social (a.k.a. humane) science.

4.  “We all want progress, but if you’re on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road.”—C.S. Lewis

3.  Permanent things still need defending.

2.  The dignity of human life (from conception until death) is worth fighting for.

1.  Truth is timeless.
